King receives certification validating consumer protection from internationally-recognised authority TÜV

TUV Rheinland: It's safe to play at KING.COMKing (www.king.com), the world’s leading online social gaming company, has received certification by German technology and privacy authority, TÜV Rhineland, for their conformation to the strictest European regulations for data privacy and classification as an official skill games site.King is the only online games provider to have successfully undergone an official examination by TÜV, which officially declares that King’s games are in fact certified as skill games, as they contain no random processes and are therefore not games of luck. Players at King can play games whereby small amounts of money change hands between players, but these games are not affected by chance or luck. Players are classified according to their playing ability so they are always evenly matched.

We are very pleased to receive the TÜV skill games certificate. We know this certificate will be mark of quality for our customers and partners alike”, explains Toby Rowland, co-founder and co-CEO at King.com. “As a provider of tournament games in which money is also involved, this certificate is important for creating transparency among our users“, Rowland continues. The TÜV certificate spells it out – Wagering money on King’s games is not permitted when there is a random element involved. So games of chance, like Backgammon or Yatzy, cannot be played for money. All 80 games on www.king.com can also be played free of charge. A free registration is all it takes
